 1. BACKGROUND PROJECT

Sogou, originally a subsidiary of Sohu, was launched on August 3, 2004. Its purpose is to enhance Sohu’s search skills and mainly operate Sohu’s search business. While searching for business, Sogou input method and Sogou high-speed browser are also launched. Sogou input method has been loved by the majority of netizens because of its excellent intelligent word recognition, fast typing function and beautifully designed skin system.

搜狗原是搜狐公司的旗下子公司,于2004年8月3日推出,目的是增强搜狐网的搜索技能,主要经营搜狐公司的搜索业务。在搜索业务的同时,也推出搜狗输入法搜狗高速浏览器。搜狗输入法以其优秀的智能识别词语快速打字功能和设计精美的皮肤系统一直受到广大网友的喜爱。

In July 2020, Tencent’s privatization offer to Sogou finally had the final result recently. On September 23, Sogou announced that Sogou has merged with Tencent to become its wholly-owned subsidiary, and Sogou shares will be delisted from New York. On the same day, Sohu also announced that 33.8% of Sogou’s equity held by Sohu will receive $1.18 billion in this transaction. After the transaction is completed, Sohu will no longer retain any rights and interests of Sogou.

2020年7月腾讯向搜狗发出的私有化要约,终于在近日有了最终结果。9月23日搜狗发布公告,搜狗已与腾讯完成合并成为其全资子公司,搜狗股票也将从纽约所退市。同一天,搜狐也发布公告称,搜狐持有的33.8%搜狗股权在本次交易中将获得11.8亿美元的资金,交易完成后搜狐将不再保留搜狗任何权益。

  2. STORYBOARD 

Sogou’s joining Tencent is a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. After obtaining a large amount of financial support from Tencent, Sogou can better carry out software research and development, and Tencent can also make up for the weak performance of search software. For a large traffic ecosystem like Tencent, an excellent search engine is the entrance of traffic ecology, So Sogou was naturally favored by Tencent and finally got into the bag.

搜狗加入腾讯,是一项互利共赢的合作,搜狗在获得腾讯的大量资金支持后,可以更好地进行软件的研发,而腾讯也得以补上搜索软件性能薄弱的缺陷,以腾讯这么大一个流量生态体系来说,一个过硬的搜索引擎是流量生态的入口,于是搜狗就顺理成章被腾讯看中并最终收入囊中。

At the beginning of the animation, the dog representing Sogou company surfed alone in the sea water of the Internet. On the way of surfing, Sogou met the little penguin representing Tencent. They clapped their hands and ran side by side towards the road ahead.

在动画开始的部分,代表搜狗公司的小狗自己一个人在互联网的海水中冲浪,在冲浪的途中,搜狗遇到了代表腾讯的小企鹅,两人在会和后击掌,并且肩并肩一起,向着前方的路奔跑去。

This means that Sogou cooperates with Tencent to go to the mountains and seas and live up to its love.

这意味着,搜狗与腾讯合作,共赴山海,不负热爱。

 3. CHARACTER SETTING

This summer, UGLY met his old friend Chanel again and made a new friend Ogilvy.

This time, Chanel invited artist LIN MA to bring the latest perfume of ROO ZU artist limited edition. Ogilvy “activated” the video concept of “Chanel’s Summer”, and UGLY was invited to produce this 3D & MG animation theme blockbuster. We devote ourselves to this dream journey and let the two-dimensional illustrations “live”.

画师将搜狗和腾讯画成了可爱的小狗和腾讯qq的小企鹅,他们生动可爱的形象在动画中令人印象深刻,两只可爱的动物走到一起后,向着前方奔跑。象征着搜狗公司和腾讯公司的合作,双方一同努力,奔赴更美好的明天。

  4. CAMERA VOICE DESIGN 

The story begins with Sogou’s surfing. During his solo surfing journey, he met Tencent penguins. Tencent left the water and came to land. After crossing the jungle, they met Sogou. They were like old friends at first sight. After clapping their hands, they ran side by side on the road and ran in the direction of the sun in front of the road. Behind them, more and more people followed them, Run forward together.

故事从搜狗的冲浪开始,在独自一人的冲浪旅途中,他遇见了腾讯企鹅,腾讯从水中离开,来到陆地上,穿过丛林后,与搜狗会合,两位一见如故,击掌后肩并肩跑在大路上,向着道路前方太阳所在的方向全力奔跑,背后则有越来越多的人跟随着他们,一起向前方跑去。
